TwonkyVision UPnP Media Server Version 2.8 What it is: ----------- The TwonkyVision Media Server locates all music, picture and video content in a directory tree and shares the files using the UPnP AV protocol. While we charge for the full Media Server, a music-only server with a simplified tree view is available for free for Windows, Linux and MAC-OS. The Music Server for NAS devices is part of the full Media Server distribution. The Media Server enables all UPnP compliant client devices in the network to Browse, Search and Stream the files. Such devices are typically Media Receivers like the Netgear MP 101. But also PC software like the Intel UPnP Toolkit or Nero Showtime can be used to access the server. In addition to the local content the server also supports Shoutcast Radio Stations which can be shared via the network! The Music Server for Windows, Linux and MAC OS is free, the full-fledged Media Server and the Servers for the NAS devices are offered for a small fee. The MediaServer-Trial will terminate after 10 minutes automatically. This list is used to identify Homepod clients - if autodetection does not work.
